THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH!

Where should you look for the absolute truth? Many believe you should look to the early church fathers for absolute truth. Some believe you should look to preachers of the past and present for the consummate truth.

THE QUESTION: WHICH ONE ON THESE MEN TAUGHT,  PREACHED OR ARE TEACHING AND PREACHING THE ABSOLUTE TRUTH?

1. Norman Vincent Peale
2. John Wycliffe
3. Martin Luther
4. John Calvin
5. Alexander Mack
6. George Whitefield
7. John Wesley
8. D.L Moody
9. Alexander Campbell
10. Billy Graham
11. Joseph Smith Jr.
12. Oral Roberts
13. Pope John Paul II
14. Sun Myung Moon
15 John Knox
16. Max Lucado
17. Cotton Mather
18. C. H. Spurgeon
19. Bishop Fulton Sheen
20. Jerry Falwell
21 John MacArthur
22. Rick Warren

The fact is that while some of these preached more truth than others, not one of them preached, taught or is preaching and teaching the absolute truth.

John 4:24 God is a spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth.

The early church fathers did to teach or preach the absolute truth. None of the preachers and teachers mention above preached, taught, or are teaching and preaching the absolute truth.

THE ONLY PLACE YOU CAN FIND THE ABSOLUTE, CONSUMMATE, UNMITIGATED TRUTH IS IN THE BIBLE AND THE BIBLE ALONE.

  1. Hi Steve.
You left out of John 4 verse 24 the word "in" before the word truth. As far as I can tell, to worship God "IN" truth means to truly worship God and not have your thoughts wander off while singing or talking to him.
No one tells the whole truth, only God and Jesus do that, that's why we need them so badly in this deceptive fallen world.
If you really want to know the absolute truth, ask God and He will reveal it to you. Ask and you will receive.
    Blessings for 2014, Geoff.

  2. Many say they can recognize the spirit of truth, yet without observing the 'AND" below it also states as if just as important being able to recognize the "Spirit" of Falsehood.

Revelation as it revolves around the substance of truth doesn’t only know one and NOT the other yet how is this proved?

How did coming to know BOTH "Good and Evil" serve Adam and Eve? Prior to this revelation they ONLY "Knew" what Good IS.

    1 John 4:6
-->We are from God<--, and whoever -->knows God --> listens --> to us; but whoever is not from God does not ---> listen to us. -->This is how <-- we recognize the Spirit of truth --> and <--the spirit of falsehood. NIV

Who is the “Us” mentioned above when we read “Listens to us”?

Is it only the author who writes and or only the Apostles? OR is the author saying this as if those who know are Known by God?

When the revelation comes that “God knows “YOU” you have truly discovered something of value. What makes truth MOST valuable to this person?

It’s when YOU truly "come" in order know Him (God).

This is the question we all have to face is it Not?

If say "God is ALL wisdom" (Truth) then who will prove Him right?

    Luke 7:35
But wisdom is proved right ---> by all her children."
    NIV

    John 17:3-5
Now this is eternal life: ---> that they may know you , ---> the only true God, -->AND Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. 5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you --> before the world began.
    NIV

  3. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. 2 Timothy ch.3 vs.16,17, but it is essential that the presence of the Holy Spirit is with us to convince and convict.

  4. Isaiah ch45 v7 needs some explanation if the Bible is the unmitigated truth. I struggle with this one.

  5. Quite honestly Jennie, NO ONE can explain God to you to include God himself unless you subject and submit to Him as if he IS the "I AM". Simply put, God IS who He is, yet only He (Spirit of Truth) can explain why He says and or does anything.

If the giving of His ONLY Son is not enough to arrest your attention as an expression of Love, to then consider it was mankind that murdered that same Son (Jesus) How can He (God) or a mere man explain anything any further enough to satisfy curiosity or provide THE presentation as if "The Truth" and nothing but the truth?

Quite simply man tried to get rid of the explanation. They tried to "Bury" the truth, yet even that didn't stop his continual and lengthy explanation as to who God is and to what length He would go to make himself known to you and I and every other soul that's willing to "Believe" in the Christ (Jesus) He sent as our savior.

Especially when we don't see ourselves in NEED of being saved.

In fact I can say this with 100% confidence, you, me and or anyone else will continue to struggle until we've humbled ourself before the Lord.

    Rom 14:10-12
For we will all stand before God's judgment seat. It is written:

    "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will confess to God.'"

So then, each of us will give an account of himself to God.

    Ps 111:10
    The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom ;

all who follow his precepts have good understanding.

    To him belongs eternal praise.
    NIV

The good news is, you're at least struggling which is a good sign because you do know there's more to this whole concept of not only a God, but even more THE God who created us ALL.

Man greatest step towards God is our willingness to "Believe" Him. His word (Bible) is a LONG love letter sent only to those who do believe. Only those who DO believe can then enjoy it's content which then explains all the "Why" and "Why Not's" in a spiritual language.

God is spirit and can only be seen and understood by way of a spiritual relationship with Him.

I pray this helps...May God will bless you in a sincere pursuit of His person!
