EXTRA-ROAD SIGNS?-BY STEVE FINNELL

If Jonesville and Smithtown are actually 20 miles apart and a road sign is erected that states they are 20 miles apart, would it not be confusing to erect EXTRA-ROAD SIGNS listing various mileage distances between the two towns?

If an extra-road sign stated that Jonesville and Smithtown are 6 miles apart, it could be a honest error or a lie. It could not be the truth!

If multiple erroneous extra-road signs are erected, it can block your view of the correct road sign.

God has given us the true road sign to acquire salvation and live the Christian life. The Christian road sign is the Bible and the Bible alone. Why would anyone want to construct or rely on EXTRA-ROAD SIGNS?

John 5:39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;

Jesus did not mention searching any EXTRA-BIBLICAL sources.

Extra-Biblical sources that have various and sundry directions to find salvation will have a high possibility of leading down the wrong road. STAY ON THE STRAIGHT NARROW ROAD BY USING GOD'S ROAD MAP, THE BIBLE AND THE BIBLE ALONE.

Do the writings of the church fathers and historians confirm that Jesus was the Son of God? Do their records confirm the death, burial  and resurrection of Jesus Christ? Do these writings give the correct view to the terms of salvation? Are the doctrines of God confirmed by Pope Clement I, St. Polycarp, Tertullian, Irenaeus, Justin Martyr, Ignatius, or the Jewish historian Titus Flavius Josephus? Unless what these men said is found in the Scriptures it is of no value in confirming the truth about God. EXTRA-BIBLICAL sources are not inspired by God and are not considered to be Scripture.

If extra-Biblical sources are a valid way to confirm and support doctrinal positions, then, the writings of the following persons should be an acceptable source for truth: Mary Baker Eddy, Joseph Smith Jr, Billy Graham, Rev. Sung Young Moon, Jim Jones, Charles Taze Russell, Oral Roberts, Pat Robertson, John Calvin, Confucius, Martin Luther, Ron L. Hubbard, T. D. Jakes etc.

It is easy to find EXTRA-BIBLICAL writings to confirm or support pet doctrinal positions; however, they are not God breathed and have no validity whatsoever.

Would you want to use the extra-Biblical writings of the Pharisees to validate your doctrinal views?

Jesus speaking of the Pharisees said: Mark 7:7 'But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the precepts of men.'

Would the extra-Biblical writings of the Judaizers be the proper information source to be used to confirm or support a doctrinal position?

The apostle Paul speaking about the Judaizers said: Galatians 5:4 You have been severed from Christ, you who are seeking to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Would you look to the extra-Biblical writings of Hymenaeus and Philetus  to gain support for your doctrinal positions?

The apostle Paul writing to Timothy said: Timothy 2:17-18 and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus, 18 men who have gone astray from the truth saying  that the resurrection has already taken place, and they upset the faith of some.

If extra-Biblical writings are not synonymous with the word of God, then, they are void of the truth.

2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is inspired by God....

UNLESS EXTRA-BIBLICAL WRITINGS ARE A REPETITION OF SCRIPTURE, THEN, THEY MAN-MADE WRITINGS.

THE WORLD NEEDS TO GET BACK TO THE BIBLE AND THE BIBLE ALONE!

BASIC BIBLE DOCTRINE? steve finnell

To assume that church leaders know basic Bible doctrine is going a bridge too far. If Christians in the pew lack basic Biblical facts how would it be possible for them to know if their church leaders are teaching and preaching the gospel truth?

If church leaders assume that all the Christians in the congregation are aware of basic Biblical doctrine, they are assuming too much.

Think about it, even Billy Graham does not realize that water baptism is essential for salvation. He also believes that you can be part of the body of Christ without ever having heard the name of Jesus.

Church leaders and members alike have a responsibility to study the word of God. There are not thousand of different denominations because believers read their Bibles too much or ask God to show them His truth and only His truth.

THE BIBLE IS THE SOURCE FOR TRUTH!-BY STEVE FINNELL

If you are searching for the truth about God and His plan for mankind, where should you look? What is the only trustworthy source to find God's truth? Would it be creed books, Bible commentaries and a variety of other written works of men?

THE HOLY BIBLE IS THE ONLY SOURCE OF ABSOLUTE TRUTH!

Jeremiah 30:1-2 This word which came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying, 2 "Thus says the Lord, saying, the God of Israel, 'Write all the words which I have spoken to you in a book.

The Lord did not tell Jeremiah to check with Billy Graham, Joseph Smith Jr., Gandhi or Saint Augustine and write down their words.

Exodus 24:3-4 Then Moses came and recounted to the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances; and all the people answered with one voice and said, "All the words which the Lord has spoken we will do!" 4 Moses wrote down all the words of the Lord.......

Moses did not write down everything that John Wesley, Brigham Young, and Buddha had said.

Matthew 4:4 But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!"

Jesus said live by every word that comes from God. He did say say live by every word that comes from Pope Benedict XVI, Martin Luther, and Jerry Falwell.

Luke 10:25-26 And a lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying. "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life ?" 26 And He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?"

Jesus did not answer the lawyer by asking him "how does what is written by Robert Schuller, Mother Teresa and Benny Hinn read to you?"

Acts 17:2-3 And according to Paul's custom, he went to them, and for three Sabbaths reasoned with them from Scriptures, explaining and giving evidence that Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, "This Jesus whom I am proclaiming to you is the Christ."

The apostle Paul did not reason from the writings of Max Lucado, Pope John Paul II and John Calvin.

John 20:30-31 Therefore many other signs Jesus also performed in the presence of disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these have been written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name.

The writings of John McArthur, Jack Van Impe, Bill Hybels and Charles Swindoll were not written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ.

2 Peter 3:15-16 and regard the patience of our Lord  as salvation; just as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given him, wrote to you, 16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which the untaught and unstable distort, as they do the rest of the Scriptures...

Peter said Paul's letters were by wisdom from God. Paul's letters were Scriptures.

Where does Peter say creed books, catechisms, Bible commentaries, books about the Bible, and other writings of men are Scriptures?

THE BIBLE IS THE ONLY TRUSTWORTHY SOURCE FOR GOD'S TRUTH!

JOHN DOE AND HIS JUDGMENT?-BY STEVE FINNELL

Have men been given the authority to judge John Doe? Is John Doe's eternal destiny the responsibility of man's judgment? Some believe they have that authority.

1. John Doe was a good man, he loved his family, was faithful to his wife, never mistreated his children, and never took the first drink of alcohol. John gave money to the poor and visited the sick. John never confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior. John Doe was an unbeliever. Men have made the judgment that he will go to heaven because he was a good man.

Ephesians 2:8:9 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; 9 not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.
John 8:24 'Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He you will die in yours sins.

Is it right to pass judgment on John Doe and send him to heaven? No it is not!

2. John Doe confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior on his deathbed, however, he did not have time to be baptized in water. Men say, John is in heaven because he ran out of time.

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Have men been given the power to determine that John Doe will be in heaven even though he failed to meet God's requirements for the forgiveness of his sins? Should men pass judgment on John Doe and send him to heaven? No they should not.

3. John Doe became a Christian forty years ago, however, for the last thirty years John has been an unrepentant fornicator, a drunkard, a homosexual, and a thief. Men say, John died without repenting of those sins and is now in heaven. They say, he is in heaven because he was saved and once saved always saved.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators....nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves....nor drunkards...will inherit the the kingdom of God.

Do men have jurisdiction over the entrance to the kingdom of God? Can men pass judgment on unrepentant sinners, like John Doe, and send them to heaven? No they cannot.

CAN MEN PASS JUDGMENT ON THE JOHN DOES OF THIS WORLD AND SEND THEM TO HEAVEN?

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

WHEN DENOMINATIONAL DOCTRINE CONTRADICTS SCRIPTURE? -by steve finnell

When denominational doctrine is contrary to the Bible; which one is in error? As for me I will trust Scripture.

Denominational Doctrine: Imposes dietary restrictions and forbids certain members to marry.

Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:1-4 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrine of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, 3 forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused it is is received with thanksgiving;(NKJV)

Denominational Doctrine: Once you are saved you can never be lost.

Scripture: Galatians 5:4 You have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law; you have fallen from grace.

Denominational Doctrine: The assumption that the Virgin Mary was bodily resurrected and is now in heaven.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption  inherit corruption.(NKJV) 1Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.(NKJV) [The bodily resurrection of Christians is in the future not the past.]

Denominational Doctrine: Water baptism is not essential for the forgiveness of sin nor is it essential for salvation.

Scripture: Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (NKJV) Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(NKJV) Acts 22:16 'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.(NKJV) Ephesians 5:25-26...just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,(NKJV)
1 Peter 3:21 There is also an antitype which now saves us, namely baptism (not the removal of filth of the flesh, but an answer of a good conscience toward God), through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,(NKJV) Colossians 2:11-13...12 buried with Him in baptism...13....He made has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,(NKJV) Romans 6:3-7....4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death...6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.....(NKJV)
Galatians 3:26-27 For you are all sons of God through faith i Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.(NKJV) John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.(NKJV)

Denominational Doctrine: All men are saved by "faith only."

There is no Scripture that states that men are saved by faith only, faith alone, nor by grace alone. Denominations add the only and alone.

When denominational doctrine is contrary to Scripture where will you put your trust?

PRAY TO WHOM?-BY STEVE FINNELL

Who are we to address our prayers to, God the Father, the Virgin Mary, Moses, John the Baptist or other dead saints? Are all of the above  acceptable?

Mark 14:36 And He was saying, "Abba! Father! All things are possible for You; remove this cup from Me; yet not what I will, but what You will."

Jesus prayed to the Father; Christians should assume that this is an approved example. Jesus did not pray to Moses, Abraham nor any other dead saint.

JESUS PRAYED TO THE FATHER!

Jesus said: Matthew 6:6 But you, when you pray, go into your inner room, close your door  and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

JESUS SAID PRAY TO THE FATHER! Jesus did not say pray to the Virgin Mary nor any other dead saint.

Jesus said: Matthew 6:9 "Pray, then, in this way:'Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.

JESUS SAID DIRECT YOUR PRAYERS TO THE FATHER! Jesus did not advocate directing your prayers to the Virgin Mary, Abraham, Moses, the apostles, Peter nor any other dead saint.

Jesus said: John 16:23 In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you.

JESUS SAID PETITION THE FATHER IN HIS NAME! Jesus did not say to petition the Virgin Mary, the apostle Paul, nor any other dead saint.

The apostle Paul said: Ephesians 5:20 always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father,

PAUL SAID GIVE THANKS TO THE FATHER IN JESUS NAME! The apostle Paul did not say give thanks to the Father in the name of the Virgin Mary, Moses, the apostles, nor any other saint dead or alive.

Paul said: Colossians 3:17 Whatever you do in word or deed , do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Paul said: Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, because your faith is being proclaimed throughout the whole world.

Paul said: 1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

JESUS IS THE MEDIATOR BETWEEN MEN AND GOD.  The Virgin Mary is not the mediator.

ADVOCATES AND INTERCESSORS

1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, that you may not sin. And if anyone sins , we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

The apostle John said that Jesus Christ is our advocate with the Father. He did not say the Virgin Mary was our advocate to Jesus through whom we might reach the Father. John did not say Moses, Abraham, nor any dead saint was our advocate with the Father.

John 14:16-17 "And I will pray the Father , and He will give another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. 17 "even the Spirit of truth.....

The apostle John tell us that Jesus the Son of God and the Holy Spirit are our advocates with the Father. The two advocates are God. The Virgin Mary, Abraham, the apostles, nor any other dead saint are God nor are they our advocates with God the Father.

Romans 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and futhermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercessions for us.

Jesus makes intercessions for Christians. The Virgin Mary, John the Baptist, nor any other dead saint is qualified nor has the capability to intercede for Christians.

Romans 8:27 Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession, for the saints according to the will of God.

The Holy Spirit intercedes for Christians. The Virgin Mary, Moses, the apostles nor any other dead saint can intercede for Christian.

Christians should pray to God the Father. The Christian's mediator is Jesus Christ alone. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are our advocates and intercessors with the Father.

THERE IS NO SCRIPTURE THAT INSTRUCTS ANYONE TO PRAY TO A DEAD SAINT. THERE IS NO SCRIPTURE THAT TELLS ANYONE TO PRAY TO A LIVE SAINT EITHER.

PRAYING TO ANYONE IS WORSHIP.

WHY DO CALVINISTS PREACH THE GOSPEL?-by steve finnell

Calvinists believe that God predestined each individual whom would receive salvation before the world was created. Is that a clear understanding of Scripture? No, it is not.

Ephesians 1:1-5 ....4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,(NKJV)

Whom did God choose to be adopted as sons? He chose those who would believed and obeyed the gospel.

Ephesians 1:13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, (NKJV)

Who were those who were sealed with the Holy Spirit of of promise?
1. Those who trusted in Jesus were sealed.
2. Those who heard the word of truth, the gospel, were sealed.
3. Those who believed were sealed.

They were not predetermined to trust, hear the truth and believed. They had free-will to meet the terms for pardon.

Not one person was saved by grace alone. No one was saved before they believed Jesus was the Son of God. No one was saved before they were immersed in water for the forgiveness of their sins. No one was saved before they confessed Jesus as Lord and Christ. No one was saved before they believed that God resurrected Jesus from the grave. No one was saved before they repented. [John 3:16, Acts 2:38, Mark 16:16, Acts 3:19, Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10:9]

If some men have been individually predetermined for salvation and all other preordained to spend eternity in hell, then why preach the gospel?

Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.(NKJV)

Calvinists say faith comes by hearing only if you have been predetermined for salvation.

Romans 10:13 For "whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."(NKJV)

Calvinists say God individually predetermined who would be allowed to call on the Lord and be saved.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.(NKJV)

Calvinists say the gospel is only for those whom God has individually chosen for salvation.

Calvinists believe God forces His chosen to have faith and believe the gospel. They believe God individually selected most men to not believe in Jesus and to burn in hell.

In effect Calvinist believe God preordained most men to become atheists.

The burning question is why do Calvinists preach the gospel if men are saved by grace alone.

God predestined that Christians would have redemption through the blood of Christ. God did not predestined which individuals  would become Christians.

Ephesians 1:7 In Him we have redemption, through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according  to the riches of His grace. (NKJV)

IS REPENTANCE ESSENTIAL FOR SALVATION?-BY STEVE FINNELL

Is repentance essential to receive forgiveness of sin? Most advocates of salvation by "faith alone" would not include repentance in God's plan of salvation. How is it possible to be saved without repentance?

2 Corinthians 7:10 For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but the sorrow of the world produces death.

Looks like a connection of repentance and salvation to me.

Luke 15:7 I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

If repentance has no bearing on salvation why is there joy in heaven when one sinner repents?

Jesus said in: Luke 24:47 and that repentance for forgiveness of sins would be proclaimed in His name to all the nations, beginning from Jerusalem.

Repentance for (in order to) forgiveness of sins was preached on the Day of Pentecost (the Day of Pentecost A.D. 33 was the birth of the church of Christ).

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

The repentance spoken of in (Acts 2:38) is an intellectual commitment to turn from sin and turn toward God. REPENTANCE WAS FOR THE REMISSION OF SIN!

The three thousand people who were saved on the Day of Pentecost were saved the minute they believed that Jesus was God's Son, the Christ, that Jesus was resurrected from the grave, repented, confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior and were immersed in water. (It all happened on that day)

REPENTANCE DOES NOT STOP AT BAPTISM. IT JUST BEGINS.

The apostle Paul did not continue to persecute Christians after he was saved.

REPENTANCE=CHANGE IN LIFESTYLE AND WHAT YOU THINK ABOUT GOD.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 Or do you not know that the unrighteous  will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters. nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves , nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

NOTICE; The apostle Paul says such were some of you. PAST TENSE! Paul warns them to keep it in the past tense if they want to inherit the kingdom of God.

REPENTANCE=CHANGE.

1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

When Christians sin it because they have made a conscience choice to sin.

REPENTANCE=CHANGE.

Romans 6:1-2 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?

REPENTANCE=CHANGE.

Romans 6:3-4 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4 There we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.

If you are Christian and you are still getting drunk, still fornicating, still a thief and remain a liar, still greedy, still using God's name in vain; is that an example of walking in newness of life?

REPENTANCE=CHANGE.

WHEN YOU STAND BEFORE JESUS ON JUDGMENT DAY WHAT WILL BE YOUR EXCUSE?

1. I was saved by "faith only" I did not have to repent.
2. John Calvin said I was "once saved always saved."
3. I thought I was saved by "grace alone." I did not realize that  God would not force me to repent.
4. My church leaders told me if repentance was inconvenient for me I could repent at a later time.

REPENTANCE IS NOT OPTIONAL!

MAN-MADE CLIMATE CHANGE AND WISDOM?  by steve finnell

James said if any man lacks wisdom let him ask God.( James 1:5)

There are those who believe that man-made CO2 emissions cause droughts, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, blizzards, limited snowfall, global warming, and global cooling.

What does the Bible say about climate and weather?

Job 37:6 "For to the snow He says, 'Fall on the earth,' And to the downpour and rain, 'Be strong.(NASB)

Ezekiel 13:13 Therefore, thus says the Lord God, "I will make a violent wind break out in  My wrath. There will be also in My anger  a flooding rain and hailstones to consume it in wrath. (NASB)

Job 37:14-16 "Listen to this, O Job, Stand and consider the wonders of God. 15 "Do you know how God establishes them, And makes the lightning of His clouds to shine? 16 "Do you know about the layers of the thick clouds, The wonders of one perfect in knowledge, (NASB)

Genesis 8:22 :While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And winter and summer, And day and night, Shall not cease." (NASB)

If a person prays for wisdom, what would be the logical result, believe in man-made climate caused by Co2 emissions or believe that God controls climate and weather?

MISTRANSLATION SARCOMA -BY STEVE FINNELL

A CHRISTIAN QUOTE: "I believe the Bible to be the inspired  inerrant word of God, however, translations of that inspired word of God are not inspired, inerrant, nor infallible...This is an example of Mistranslation Sarcoma in all its glory.

If you cannot trust translations of the Bible to be the word of God, then where do you find the truth?

What is Mistranslation Sarcoma? It is a common malignancy, primarily found among those who participate in Biblical study and dialogue. It is also widespread throughout the pseudo Biblical community. This disease is not a respecter of persons. The malignancy seems to spread more rapidly in an atmosphere where man's personal knowledge and wisdom are exalted.

What are the symptoms of Mistranslation Sarcoma? Such persons may have a tendency to hold their peers, professors, and assorted leaders in high esteem concerning opinions  about the Scriptures. They may place very little trust in God who promised them the Spirit of truth if they would just obey Him.
They may give the Holy Spirit inspired book little or no weight in its own defense.

The person suffering from Mistranslation Sarcoma will usually show a disregard for certain Scriptures, i.e. 1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the Lord endures forever."  And this is the word which was preached to you. Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away. If unsure that a person has Mistranslation Sarcoma, just ask them, many are willing to admit it. Some reflect a grow of pride at being infected with it, seeing it as a mark of intelligence.

What are the ramifications of the disease? The benign carrier sometimes seems to escape unmarred; however, this is not necessarily true of those he has infected. Their problems range from slight  impairment, through destruction of their very soul.

This disease is highly contagious. It is found in some degree in every fundamental group, every denomination, every cult, and among the street scholars who judge the Bible.

Is there a cure? Yes, prayer, honest study, and not kicking against the pricks when confronted with the truth.

How is it possible that men trust God  to send His only Son as Savior for the world, and believe God resurrect Jesus from the grave, but do not trust God to provide a translation of His written word that is trustworthy?

(All Scripture quotes from: NEW AMERICAN STANDARD BIBLE)
