THERE IS ONLY ONE CHURCH OF CHRIST by Steve Finnell

There is only one church of Christ. Jesus is the head of His church. Jesus is not a head with multiple bodies.

How do you become part of the church of Christ?

1. Believe: John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (NKJV)

2. Repent: Acts 2:38 And Peter replied, "Each one of you must turn from sin, return to God...(The Living Bible Paraphrased)

3. Confess: Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (NKJV)

4. Be immersed in water: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (NKJV)

The Lord gave the terms for pardon under the New Covenant. If you follow the terms, He adds you to His church regardless of the denominational name on the church building where you worship.

You can join a denomination without be believing Jesus is the Son of God, however, you will not be added to the Lord's church.

You can join a denomination without repenting, however, you will not be added to the Lord's church.

You can join a denomination without confessing, however, you will not be added to the Lord's church.

You can join a denomination without being baptized for the forgiveness of sins, however, you will not be added to the Lord's church.

Romans 16:16...The churches of Christ greet you. (NKJV) The apostles Paul did not say the churches of denominations greet you. There were no denominations.

Acts 2:47 ....And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved. (NKJV) The Lord adds the saved to "THE CHURCH"  he does not add the saved to the Roman Catholic Church, the Methodist Church, the Mormon Church, the Jehovah's Witness Church, the Christian Science Church, the Baptist Church, Unitarian Universalist Church, the Salvation Army Church, the Masonic Lodge Church, the Friends Church, the Seventh Day Adventist nor any other denominational church.
