THOSE  MOST PROBABLE TO FIND GOD'S TRUTH by steve finnell

Those most probable of finding God's truth are those who are honestly seeking God.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.(NKJV)

Why would anyone who is seeking God and His truth not start by praying that God would show them His truth and His truth alone. Only God has the complete truth.

God has only one book of His truth, that is the sixty-six books of the Holy Bible. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.(2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Bible commentaries are not Scripture.

Church creed books are not Scripture.

Book written by popular preachers are not Scripture.

Church statements of faith are not Scripture.

The writings of theologians are not Scripture.

So-called books of new revelation are not Scripture.

When the opinions of men conflict with God's Scripture, men end up uncertain of their salvation, lost, and alone.

  1. Greetings Steve.
Great post and very true. This should be clear to anyone claiming to be a seeker of truth. The Bible plainly states that man is like the grass that will wither away but the Word of God will endure (Isaiah 40:7-8). Your list of extra-biblical texts are great examples of man's need to address his problems with his own reasoning. This of course will end in failure. God is not to be mocked. The Bible is clear and only needs an open heart and mind to be understood. The Bible is rather black and white and claims of grey areas stems from a lack of love for the truth and not confusion within the Bible itself.

On a side note, you left out the "not" in regards to church creed books.
