Have you heard anyone say I do not attend church because there are too many hypocrites there? Personally I would rather spend a couple of hours on Sunday with hypocrites than spend eternity with them.
Matthew 24:51 and will cut him in pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites; in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. (NASB)

Matthew 17:7-9 You hypocrites, rightly did Isaiah prophesy of you: 'This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. 9 'But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as doctrine the precepts of men!"(NASB)
If the leaders in your church are hypocrites that are preaching man-made doctrines you can stay there and ignore it, you can choose to believe God's Biblical truth or you can find another church.
Matthew 7:21-23 "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?" 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!
Because you attend church with hypocrites does not mean you have to be one. Better to spend an hour or two with a few hypocrites than to spend eternity with them

ReplyDeleteWe are all guilty of hypocrisy. All of us. If we are honest we will not deny it. We've all said something then gone back on it later. We have all stood up for something, then were exposed minutes later for not staying true to our cause. We've all thrown fits over problems we caused and cursed actions we'd repeatedly done ourselves. We've all been those terrible hypocrites we all can't stand. But to use this as a reason to not attend church is a lame excuse and reeks of arrogance.
So to all those who find that perfect hypocrite free church. Please don't join, you would just mess it up.
