Transliterate

When you see the word baptized in Mark 16:16 you are seeing a transliteration. You are not see a translation.


TRANSLITERATION: Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.(NKJV)

TRANSLATION: Mark 16:16 He who has believed, and has been immersed, will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. (The Better Version of The New Testament by Chester Estes)

When you see the word baptized in Acts 2:38 you are seeing a transliteration.

TRANSLITERATION: Acts 2:38 The Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(NKJV)

TRANSLATION: Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Let each one of you repent and be immersed, in the name of Jesus Christ, in order to the remission of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (The Better Version of The New Testament by Chester Estes)

When you see the word baptism in Romans 6:4 you are seeing a transliterated word. You are not seeing a translated word.

TRANSLITERATION: Romans 6:4 There we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.(NKJV)

Baptism is not sprinkling nor is it pouring, it is immersion.

Water baptism, that is water immersion is in order to have sins forgiven.
