WHY DO CHRISTIANS AND NON-CHRISTIANS NOT UNDERSTAND THE TRUTH ?  BY steve finnell

Non-Christians need Christians to teach them the truth.[ Acts 8:25-39......29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join this chariot." 30 Philip ran up and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?" 31 And he said, "Well, how could I, unless someone guides me?".......NASB] Philip explained the gospel to a non-Christian.

Why do so many who claim Jesus as Lord not understand or reject the doctrines of God?

1. Lack of church leaders teaching. [1 Timothy 3:2 An overseer...must be....able to teach. NASB]

2. Lack of Christians prayerfully seeking the truth. [ 2 Timothy 2:15 .....accurately handling the word of truth. NASB]

3. Lack of an honest regard for the truth. [Luke 8:15 But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have a heard the word in an honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance. NASB]

4. Lack of conviction by those who claim to believe. John 8:31-47  So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him......47 He who is of God hears the words of God; for this reason you do not hear them, because you are not of God."NASB]

Why do so many who claim Jesus as Lord and Savior not understand or reject the follow doctrines?

A. Why do men not understand what the new covenant church is and when it began?

B. Why do so many believe the false doctrine of original sin?

C. Why do believers subscribe to John Calvin's false T. U. L. I. P.?

E. Why are other unfamiliar with the meaning of the T. U. L. I. P.?

D. Why do believers reject the words of Jesus when He said you must be baptized in water to be saved?

F. Why do men not understand that it is worship to pray to the Virgin Mary?

G. Why do men not understand men have the free-will to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior or to reject His grace?

H. Why do believers in Christ not comprehend basic Bible doctrine?

I. Why do men believe their sins are washed away the minute they believe in Jesus?

J. Why do men believe sprinkling water on infants is Christian baptism?

Why do they not understand the truth?

The answer is either 1, 2, 3, or 4, or all of the above.
