CAN FAITH ALONE IN JONAS SALK SAVE YOU FROM POLIO? by steve finnell
The world was spared from polio in 1955 as a result of Jonas Salk developing the polio vaccine. If men believe that Jonas Salk saved them from polio because he developed the vaccine, will they be protected from polio? Of course not, you have to receive the vaccine in order to prevent polio. Simply believing in Jonas Salk and his vaccine will not spare anyone from contracting polio.
Will men be spared from the penalty of sin simply because Jesus shed His blood on the cross? No they will not, they need to meet the terms for pardon in order to contact the blood of Jesus. The terms for pardon are: Faith John 3:16, Repentance Acts 3:19, Confession Romans 10:9, Water baptism Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38.
Men will not be saved from polio by "faith alone," in Jonas Salk and his vaccine. The vaccine must be received.
Men will not be saved from the penalty of sin by "faith alone, simply by believing in Jesus and His shed blood. The blood of Jesus must be contacted. The terms of pardon are in order to the remission of sin.
