SATAN WANTS YOU DRY!   BY STEVE FINNELL

There is no doubt that Satan wants you dry. The devil does not want you to be immersed in water. Why would Satan not want you to be baptized?

Why Satan wants you dry.

Romans 6:4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in the newness of life.

Satan wants you dry so that you cannot walk in newness of life.

Colossians 2:12-13 having been buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also raised up with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,

Satan wants you dry so that God will not forgive you of all your transgressions.

1 Peter 3:20-21....were brought safely through the water. 21 Corresponding to that, baptism now saves you---not the removal of dirt from the flesh, but appeal to God for a good conscience---through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Satan wants you dry because he knows water immersion is essential for your salvation.

Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Satan wants you dry to prevent you from being saved.

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Satan wants you dry so that you will not receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and your sins will remain unforgiven.

Acts 22:16 Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name'

Satan wants you dry so your sins will not be washed away.

Galatians 3:27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.

Satan wants you dry so that you will not be clothed with Christ.

Titus 3:5 He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy , by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,

Satan wants you dry because he does not want you to avail yourself of God's mercy.

Ephesians 5:25-27 .....Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, 26 so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, 27 that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

Satan wants you dry so that you will not be cleansed, sanctified, and found to be holy and blameless.

Hebrews 10:22 let us draw near with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Satan wants you dry so that you will not have full assurance of faith with your bodies washed with pure water.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Satan wants you dry because he does not want you to enter the kingdom of God.

1 John 5:6-8 This is the One who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with water only, but the water and with the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit  and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

Satan wants you dry because he wants you to disregard the agreement.

Satan wants you dry.

If Satan cannot keep you dry, he will settle for a denial that  baptism is for the forgiveness of sins.

If Satan cannot convince you that baptism is not essential for salvation, then, he will convince you that sprinkling and pouring water are in fact baptism.

If Satan cannot keep you dry he will convince you that faith does not precede baptism and you can baptism unbelieving babies for the forgiveness of their "supposed" sins.

Are you saved by immersion in water "ALONE?" Absolutely not. Without faith, without confessing Jesus as the Son of God, without believing that God raised Jesus from the grave, without confessing Jesus as Lord and Christ, without repentance(repentance is making a commitment to turn from sin and turn toward God). WITHOUT THE PRECEDING THINGS; ALL YOU WOULD GET, WOULD BE WET.

  1. Why did John the Baptist
    baptize people?

To lead people to repent of
all their sins and to believe in the
    baptism of Jesus for salvation

John the Baptist baptized people and then baptized Jesus. The first was 'the baptism of repentance,' which called upon sinners to return to God. Many people who heard the words of God through John abandoned their idols and returned to Him.

The second baptism was the baptism of Jesus, the baptism that passed all the sins of the world onto Jesus. John the Baptist baptized Jesus to fulfill the righteousness of God. In other words, Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist to save all people from their sins (Matthew 3:15).

Why did John have to baptize Jesus? In order to blot out the sins of the world, God had to let John pass all sins onto Jesus so that people who believed in Him could be saved.

John the Baptist was a servant of God whose mission was to pass all the sins of the world onto Jesus through the baptism, and to bear witness to Jesus in order for all of mankind to repent and be washed of their sins by believing in the gospel of redemption. Therefore, John had to live alone in the wilderness. In the time of John the Baptist, the people of Israel were all corrupt and rotten to the core.

So God had said in the Old Testament, Malachi 4:5-6, "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse."

In the eyes of God, all the people of Israel who had worshiped Jehovah before were corrupt. No one was righteous before Him. The religious leaders of the temple, for example, priests, lawyers and the scribes were especially rotten to the core. Israelites and their priests did not offer the lawful sacrifices according to the law of God.

The priests had abandoned the laying on of hands and the ritual of the offering of blood, which God had given them for the atonement of their sins. It is recorded that the priests in the days of Malachi had abandoned the lawful sacrificial system, the laying on of hands and the offering of the blood of the sacrificial animal.

Therefore, John the Baptist could not stay with them. He went out to the wilderness and cried out. What did he say?

It is written in Mark 1:2-3, quoting the words of the prophet Isaiah, "Behold, I send My messenger before Your face, who will prepare Your way before You. The voice of one crying in the wilderness: 'Prepare the way of the Lord, make His paths straight.'"

The voice in the wilderness cried out to people for the baptism of repentance. What is the 'baptism of repentance' the Bible talks about? It is the baptism which John the Baptist cried out for; the baptism that called people back to Jesus so that they would believe in Him, who would take away all their sins and be saved. The baptism of repentance was to lead them to salvation.

"Repent and be baptized. Our Savior Jesus will be baptized in the same way to take away all your sins." The cry of John the Baptist was that Jesus would take away the sins of the world and be judged on the Cross to save all people, so that they might come back to God.

"I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit." 'Baptize you with the Holy Spirit' means to wash away all your sins. To baptize means 'to wash.' The baptism of Jesus at the Jordan River tells us that the Son of God was thus baptized and took away all our sins to save us.

Therefore, we are to turn back from our sinful lives and believe in Him. He is the Lamb who took away the world's sins. This is the gospel of redemption to which John the Baptist testified

  2. Amen Brother Jerry!

These are sinful mans thoughts and perspective when reading Gods Words, for they are locked out and cannot perceive or read the Bible or understand it.
This is why when they read they respond like this thinking our water baptism saves us, "There is no doubt that Satan wants you dry. The devil does not want you to be immersed in water. Why would Satan not want you to be baptized?" This is not a true Christians interpretation, but a believer who still has sin and is therefore still blind, he cannot see. A true believer in God always sees things from God's perspective who's thoughts and ways are higher than our thoughts. A sinner sees things from his own perspective, and this becomes clear when reading such an article.
Think about this further, if the thief on the Cross who repented and believed in the gospel Jesus announced on the earth of the water and the Spirit - John 3:5, and never was baptized as espoused by Mr Steve Finnell, then according to his theory, he would be dry, and be comdemned to the eternal death?
So when you think properly, you can see just how wrong sinful Christians are and how they read and interpret the Bible in great error, twisting and distorting it continually, thinking they are doing well.
On the contrary, our ritual water baptism cannot save us at all, its only a public testimony of our faith in Jesus baptism, death on the Cross and His Ressurection that brought us salvation from sin.
Only Jesus' water baptism by John the Baptist, the last OT high priest, saves us - 1 Peter 3:21...'this water now saves us.'
    Let me explain...
Just as the High Priest on the Day of Atonement passed the sin of the world to a sinless live goat by laying both his hands on its head confessing the people's sin over it, so John the Baptist did likewise just before he baptized Jesus in the River Jordan - a method set by God - Lev. 16:32.
And just as that sacrificial goat now bearing the sin of the people in the OT was sent out into the barren desert to die, and thereby, pay for their sin, so likewise, Jesus, the Lamb of God, took up all our sin, and bore them to the Cross, bearing them upon His shoulders where He paid for them on our behalf.
This is why He could say in His dying breath, 'It is finished!'
So then John 3:5 means - to enter the kingdom of heaven - WATER, the baptism of Jesus by John the Baptist where He took up all our sin, and The SPIRIT, means, God Himself.

This is why the faith of Christians must now change, for they have been in great error being deceived by the evil one who has come to them as an angel of light.
Matthew 7:20-23 was not recorded in the Word because God was bored and needed to fill in some gaps, it was recorded for this very purpose, for Christians who still have sin, the workers of lawlessness! Who arrived at the judgement as sinners.

God is working, along with His servants at this late hour all over the world, bringing His gospel of the water and the Spirit to every tribe, nation and tongue, for everyone will have a chance to meet it. And working through our sermon book ministry, both in print and electronic media, we are spreading this Good News for absolutely Free!

  3. Amen Brother Jerry!

Many Christians today reject the Righteousness of God.

It's a great pity how many people today do not have the faith that is based on the pure word of God just as it is, but rather a faith that trusts in their own thoughts and in a religion of their own making. When reading a post like this by Mr Steve Finnell it clearly reflects this wickedness which God absolutely hates, saying, "There is no doubt that Satan wants you dry. The devil does not want you to be immersed in water. Why would Satan not want you to be baptized?" This post is truly abominable!!

Such a situation is not related to God at all. People do this to serve idols by keeping away from the Word of God, and rather follow after human thoughts and its doctrines. These kinds of people are trying to ‘feel’ the work of God with their ‘flesh and emotions’ which can never be good from Gods point of view. For example, many of them try to speak in tongues, prophesy - speaking false words over others, seek extra ordinary miracles and wonders, laying hands on others - all in the name of the Lord trying to prove to the masses that God is working in them. How is it possible for the flesh to ‘feel’ God's work?
And furthermore, the thoughts of sinful man here intrepreting Gods word unable to unlock its mysteries, and then interprets the gospel of Christ like this??
Did you know doing such things bring Gods curses upon you.

All we must do before God is to simply believe in His recorded word exactly as it is, because only God's word is perfect, never changing it to fit into our doctrines and thoughts. And this means to come to the full understanding of Jesus' baptism by John the Baptist, the last OT high priest where He took up all our sin in accordance with Scripture, and then died on the Cross where He paid for them on our behalf, saying in His last breath, 'It is finished!'
The water and the Spirit in Jesus words - John 3:5 then means this. The WATER is His baptism by John the Baptist, and the SPIRIT is God Himself.
NEVER THINK THE WATER HERE MEANS YOUR BAPTISM, BUT RATHER, JESUS' BAPTISM BY JOHN THE BAPTIST, WHICH NOW SAVES US, 1 PETER 3:21

How happy am I to find the Truth that has existed from the beginning with God. He has shined the Light of Life upon me when I was in confusion, void and darkness.

  4. Greetings Steve.

I commend you on showing these responses.Though it may be hard to read such mindless babble, it is important to allow even the ignorant the opportunity to express their thoughts, so others may know how dangerous a little knowledge can be without first having a proper respect for the truth.

How someone can read the Bible and come up with such notions are beyond my understanding. Their thoughts defy not only logic and common sense but the elementary principles of clear and reasonable thinking. They seem to have been given over to a debased mind (2nd Tim. 3:1-8). If this is the case, there is little hope for them.

  5. "For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn, So that I should heal them” - Acts 28:27.

So He said to them, “How is it you do not understand?” - Mark 8:21.

"Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word" - John 8:43

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" - John 3:5.

But then, who is really listening from Christianity? Not many!
