ALLOCATED FAITH? By steve finnell

Does God allocate faith to the elect so they will have faith and believe the gospel? No, He does not.

Those who believe that God has already chosen which individuals will be saved and which ones will be lost and spend eternity in hell believe God grants faith to the chosen few so they might believe and be saved. Do the Scriptures support that position? No, they do not.

The allocated faith believers use Ephesians 2:8 to support their position.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God.(NASB)

The gift of God mention, here, is salvation, it is not faith.

Because of God's grace men have opportunity to believe and be saved.

God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all men. That is God's grace.

ALLOCATED FAITH IS CONTRARY TO SCRIPTURE

Why would God send unbelievers into the lake of fire and brimstone if their unbelief is not their fault? (Revelation 21:8)

If God grants faith, how could the devil take the word out of their hearts? (Luke 8:12)

How could Christians have an evil heart of unbelief if God gave them faith to believe and be saved? (Hebrews 3:12)

Why would God condemn those who do not believe if only He can give the faith for them to believe?(John 3:18)

Why would men die in their sins for not believing if it was because God denied them faith to believe? (John 8:24)

Why would God damn men for not believing the truth if was He who withheld faith from them? (2 Thessalonians 2:12)

All men have a choice to believe and obey the gospel, or deny the truth.

God grants salvation to all who hear and obey the gospel.

God does not allocate faith to a chosen few so they may believe and be saved.
