PURPOSE DENIAL?  BY STEVE FINNELL

Is it possible to deny the purpose of faith, confession, repentance, and water baptism and still be saved?

John 8:24 'Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins."

Is it possible for men to assert that they believe that Jesus is the Son of God and then profess that their belief has nothing to do with their salvation; and still have their sins forgiven?  Is purpose denial compatible with salvation?

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

Can men assert they that believe in Jesus, but it has nothing to do with them receiving eternal life? Is purpose denial compatible with salvation?

Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;

Is it plausible that men can confess Jesus as Lord and believe in the resurrection and then proclaim it has no effect, and is not essential for them to be saved? Can they still be saved? Is purpose denial compatible with salvation?

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

If men say I repented (that is, I made the commitment to turn from sin and turn toward God) and I was immersed in water, however, repentance and baptism have nothing to do with forgiveness of my sin? Is that a valid repentance and baptism? Is purpose denial compatible with salvation?

Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.

Can men proclaim that they believed and were baptized in water,  and then profess that  they believe that faith and baptism were not essential in order for them to be saved?  Can that kind of faith save anyone? Is purpose denial compatible with salvation.

CAN MEN BE SAVED EVEN IF THEY CONTRADICT THE BIBLICAL PURPOSE OF FAITH, REPENTANCE, CONFESSION AND WATER BAPTISM?
