CAN MEN SEEK GOD?  by steve finnell

Calvinism teaches that no man can seek God; because seeking God is a gift from God. Of course that is contrary to Scripture.

Psalm 10:4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.(NKJV)

Pride keeps men from seeking God. There no such gift as, the seeking God gift.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.(NKJV)

Yes, men can seek God.

Romans 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.(NASB)

Faith comes from hearing. It is not a gift given to a select few.

1 Corinthians 1:21For since the wisdom of God the world did  through its wisdom  did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. (NASB)

God saves through the preaching of His word. God does impute the gift of seeking nor the gift of faith so that men may know God and be saved. All who hear the gospel preached can believe and be saved.

Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the person who seeks Him.(NASB)

Yes, men can seek God.

Proverbs 8:17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. (KJV)

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all theses things shall be added unto you.(KJV)

Two choices 1. Trust God's word, the Bible. 2. Trust man's opinion about the Bible.
