FACT CHECKING PAUL AND SILAS  by steve finnell

When Paul and Silas went to Bera to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Berean Jews the Bereans fact checked their message. What was their method for checking the truth?

A. Did the Bereans read the Bible commentaries written by the scribes and Pharisees to verify the truth?

B. Did the Bereans ask the professors at Jerusalem Bible College to confirm the preaching of Paul and Silas?

C. Did the Bereans access the creed books of the chief priests and elders in order to corroborate the gospel preaching?

D. Did the Bereans go on Amazon.com and  order books written by well known Pharisees so that the truth could be substantiated?

E. Did the Bereans search the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so?

Acts 17:10-11 Then the brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea. When they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 These were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. (NKJV)

Where can you find the absolute truth, but in the Bible and the Bible alone?
