WAS LUKE LYING OR JUST IN A STATE OF CONFUSION?  by steve finnell

According to many "faith only" believers Saul was saved on the road to Damascus. Their view is that at the point a person believes in Jesus their sins are forgiven and they are added to the body of Christ.

Saul believed in Jesus three days prior to entering Damascus. (Acts 9:1-9....9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank. NKJV)

Saul  had his sight restored and was he baptized, and he was filled with the Holy Spirit three days after being confronted by Jesus on the road to Damascus.(Acts 9:10-18)

Saul was blind, was not filled with Holy Spirit, and was still guilty of his sins on the road to Damascus. Three days later his sight was restored, he was filled with the Holy Spirit and he was baptized so his sins could be forgiven.(Acts 22:6-16....13... 'Brother Saul, receive your sight....16'And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord."NKJV)

Saul did not have his sight restored on the road to Damascus. Saul was not filled with the Holy Spirit on the road to Damascus. Saul did not have his sins forgiven on the road to Damascus. Saul was not saved on the road to Damascus.

Saul was an unsaved believer on the road to Damascus.

Should you believe Luke's account of the conversion of Saul or should you accept "faith only" advocates version as God's truth?

Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved..(NKJV) Jesus said it, Ananias believed it and preached it.
