THE CRAFTY SERPENT  by steve finnell

Notice that the serpent did not tell Eve to disbelieve in God, he simply told her she did not have to obey God. (Genesis 3:1-13 Now the serpent was more crafty than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made...3 but from the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat from it or touch it, or you will die.' 4 The serpent said to the woman , "You surely will not die!......(NASB)

THE CRAFTY SERPENT

Mark 16:16 He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. (NASB)

The serpent does tell believers to stop believing, he tells them that water baptism is not needed in order to be saved. The crafty serpent.

Matthew 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, "Go Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only.'"(NASB)

The serpent does not tell believers to worship others as well as the Lord God, he tell them that praying to the Virgin Mary and other dead saints is not worship. The crafty serpent.

The serpent has no problem with men believing that Jesus is the Son of God, but he does want men to obey the terms of pardon.

The serpent does not want men to believe the Bible and the Bible alone. Craftiness does not work when men prayerfully, and humbly search the Bible for the truth.
